Central Coast

The 2017 match at Morissett started with a fourball match play. Each side paired a Senior with a Junior.

The day was cold but clear skies and hard fast greens made for good golf. Central Coast won the day 4.5 to 1.5. Nathan Waters and William Knight had a comfortable win whilst David Bagust and Danny Bisby halved their match.

Sunday saw clear skies again for the single matches. It was agreed that the last four junior matches be played off handicap else the games be very one sided.  In the juniors Ben Morgan playing number had an impressive 7 and 6 win. Ben had seven birdies in his match. Travers Anderson played very well to win 4 and 3 whilst Liam Richardson took advantage of all his shots to win one up. Danny Bisby, William Knight and Fletcher Murray all fought to the last hole to lose narrowly. I believe this will prove to be a great learning experience for out juniors. In the seniors Nathan Waters again proved dominant to win 4 and three. Ben Dunn was unlucky being one up playing the last but was unable to find his tee shot in the light rough. The other seniors lost hard fought matches

Over all Central Coast won 12 points to 6. The Morissett club and the Central Coast district provided a fine meal and refreshments after the last match on Sunday. A fine weekend of challenging golf.
