On Sunday 22nd December 2019, the LNCDGA 6 person team traveled to Coffs Harbour Golf Club to play the NRDGA with the winner gaining the right to proceed to the Horizon Golf Resort on Monday & Tuesday January 20 & 21 to play for the 2020 JNJG Junior Pennants state title. Being the current title holders, the LNCDGA team were keen to secure a victory so they could defend their title at the state final but at the half way mark things did not look good as we were behind in four matches and only had a very slender lead in the other two.

However the players rallied on the back nine and a great victory was secured 4 matches to 2. The individual results were:
Fletcher Murray Won 2up,

Danny Bisby Lost 7/5,

Paden Richards Lost 3/2,

Ella Scaysbrook Won 1up,

Vanna Limeburner Won 2/1

Quedesha Golledge Won 1up.

It is worth noting that Fletcher (GA 0.4) beat a member of the NSW state team Conor Whitelock (GA+2) with both players playing off scratch and our No. 2 Danny Bisby (GA 2.9) also had to play off scratch against another plus marker and Danny had no luck all day so the score does not reflect the standard of his golf. All three girls won each playing excellent golf while Paden fought back on the back nine after being well down at the turn.

So now it is on to Horizons to hopefully defend our title and to become the first team to win back to back titles in the seven year history of the event.
